Pigments in: Jewelmarine, Purple and 3D Silver (glitter); and Blondes Gold, Dark Soul, French Violet, Lovely Lilly and White Gold.
Shadows: Deep Shade, Femme Fi, Goldmine, Gorgeous Gold, Black Type, Plumage, Top Knot, Carbon, Beautiful Iris and Electra.

Hello and happy weekend! I have ended my week on a very good, productive note.
I visited a MAC counter at Nordstrom today and took a look at all the new MAC items. They have changed their packaging (again) to print the shade/color on the top of the box rather than printing it on the circle stickers. I would imagine there will be a lot of "old packaging" shelf-pull MAC products hitting the wholesale maketplace due to new packaging, which is good for everyone. Now, just because it does not have the printed color on the top right of the box, does not mean it is counterfeit. The old packaged products will be around for sometime. Nodrstrom had both, old and new packaging.
Some ways to detect counterfeit MAC: Any item that does not have a matching code printed on the box AND the item, any item that does not have a color/shade listed on the label, any pigment that comes with a black lid, misspelled colors, colors that do not exist, items that do not exist, etc.
Recently, I looked at Ebay to find "Hello Kitty." I was astounded at how many counterfeit Hello Kitty items there were listed on that site. Now, because I am very familiar with the line (since discontinued as it came out last February 2009), I could detect easily which items were NOT released as Hello Kitty by MAC. These counterfeit/knockoffs are advertised as "Hello Kitty" but not necessarily a MAC product, so be careful. Do your research and homework before you buy, always buy from a trust seller with positive feedback across the board, check on seller's feedback as usually someone will discover a counterfeit item after receiving it and then leave negative feedback and when in doubt, go to a buyer whose feedback is flawless and as close to 100% as possible.
Also, it is always good to buy from someone who has lots of different MAC items listed, not just pigments or shadows or what is purportedly Dazzleglass. There is a significant amount of Dazzleglass on Ebay as well, that is only coded with "numbers" and no colors. These are fake items and sometimes even the sellers don't know it. A good rule of thumb, if it seems to good to be true, it usually is -- that is, the item is being sold for so little because it is not an authentic MAC product. A seasoned MAC user will know the difference between authentic and knockoff but a new user might not be aware of the authentic traits and labeling of the products.
New items listed: Eyes by Design Expert Brush Set (beautiful), formerly sold at HSN and now sold out, some new MAC Paintpots and NARS duo lipgloss in Giza/Boogie Nights, in very limited supply.

I am selling lots of Bobbi items. The Skin Finish seems to be very popular. It is a truly beautiful product. Also, the Silver Moon Sparkle eyeshadow is going well too:) I don't think I will have these for long though.
As far as my painting project, I am 2/3 of the way finished. Next, I will stripe the top section of the dining room. So far, it looks fabulous and I am pleased with the results. Next, I will begin to look for a color for the living room and some furniture as it is currently empty. The house is starting to get a fingerprint now and feels more like "mine." Never quite had the same feeling about the Minnesota house. It just was not home.

Hello and happy over-the-hump day,
Today I received the Bobbi Silver Moon Sparkle eyeshadow and the Blush Pink Lip Compact, both beautiful. These are limited edition items for the holidays, so they won't be available for much longer at the Bobbi counters, but you can get them here! The sparkle is the perfect shadow for an evening on the town or an elegant candlelight dinner for two! Very sparkly and shiny, classic. The Pink Blush Lip Compact is described as a sheer nude color, very soft and pretty. This is the complement to the Sparkle eyeshadow.
In my spare time off Ebay, Bonanzle and Ecrater, I am painting my dining room with metallic paint, influenced by all the beautiful colors of makeup in my inventory. It is beautiful, a shimmer gold color with an iridescent dark, almost black/green on the bottom below the chair rail.
My new house is a clean slate and I am enjoying making it "our" own!

Received many items yesterday from Bobbi Brown. It took me hours to sort them all out. Included are matte stain for lips in the color of "clay," Bobbi's Skin Foundation in beautiful, warm colors and fresh, many, many new colors of Bobbi full-sized foundation sticks, and a gorgeous eye palette called "Eyebrights." If these go well, I will be getting more of them. They are now sold out and contain beautiful shimmer colors, pale pink, pale silver, steel and champagne. The palette is palm-sized and great for on the go touchups and fits beautifully in a clutch or evening bag.
Next week Bobbi's sparkle eyeshadow in Silver Moon and some lip tint will be arriving.
I will continue to add new items, so be on the lookout. Also coming are the Bare Escentuals Skin-Revers that are so popular. I have already sold more than a case of these. More coming soon.

Today I am expecting a load of Bobbi Brown items, foundation sticks, lip glosses, liquid skin foundation and other Bobbi items. If you are a Bobbi fan, here is an opportunity to stock up for the winter. Bobbi has been very hard to get this year and I grab it when I can. It is scare because the manufacturers are not making as much of it due to the economic state. In fact, all production has cut back in all cosmetic areas, which means less for the wholesalers.
I will keep you posted as to new items that arrive. If there is something special you are looking for, just let me know as I may be able to get it, of course, depending on what it is.

My first blog
Hello,
This is my first blog, inspired by the movie "Julie & Julia." I am a middle-aged, married woman who has been selling high-end cosmetics on Ebay now for over 2 years. In a former life, I worked as a paralegal and then a medical transcriptionist for over 8 years. Typing medical reports and translating foreign doctors' poor English into "sensible" English burned me out, so I decided to do something I really enjoyed and make some money at the same time.
I have always loved makeup as a teenager and could not wait to be able to finally wear it. I, like most women, am obsessed with the packaging of cosmetics and love the way they look when you first open them up. It is important to me that you get that "wow factor" when you open up the box to get a rush of exhilaration from what you buy, just as I love that same sensation when I purchase things.
I researched the Ebay marketplace for a year before I took the plunge. I must back up a bit and say the line I chose to kick off my Ebay venture was inspired by Bare Minerals. I visited the Mall of America where I had my makeup done at the store there. I was so impressed by the product, I decided to sell it and bring it to women at a more affordable price.
Finding good wholesalers, trusted and honest, was the hardest part of launching my new career. After all, if you don't have products consumers want, you will not sell anything. I knew Bare Minerals was a popular brand and actually worked the way it said it would, so I began there. After hitting several dead ends, I finally found someone who was willing to sell Bare Minerals to me at a wholesale price, and thus began my Ebay venture.
I started out with 8 products my first Christmas and now have over 200 items for sale including, of course, Bare Minerals, MAC (professional cosmetics), Bobbi Brown (another beautiful line), Estee Lauder, Smashbox, Urban Decay, Bare Minerals, and Molton Brown. Within the last year I have expanded my line to include skincare items such as Bliss, Skin Code, Orlane and Estee Lauder. I also have added Molton Brown bath & body products.
If I had to sum it up, my site is best described as pamper and luxury items. None of these products can be purchased at a drug store or big box store. Indulgence and pamper are keys here.
Of course, I have educated myself on various brands and have learned so much in the process. One of the things I pride myself on is honesty. There are many knock-offs on Ebay and all over the net. I absolutely WILL NOT sell fake, counterfeit or knock-off items. I take great pains to make sure they meet the highest quality control standard I set for myself and I buy ONLY from trusted wholesalers and suppliers I personally know and trust. I have purchased item from these individuals many times and have strong relationships with them.
As far as customer service, my goal is 5 stars on each and every sales. I treat you the way I love to be treated, which translates to superb customer service and customer satisfaction. I stand by every item I sell.
